Campaign Dispatch December 22, 2017

December 22, 2017

On the road:

Last Thursday, the Blue Ribbon Commission on School Funding held its first meeting. Kathleen is the only Senate Democratic member. Her column, It’s Time for a Hard Look at How We Pay for Schools, shares a bit about the new Commission and outlines her thoughts on school funding reform.

Further, in an interview with School of Education Dean, Dr. Tim Slekar, Kathleen discusses challenges facing our schools and a path forward. The interview will air on BustED Pencils, Saturday, December 23, 2017 at 11am. Watch our Facebook page @KathleenVinehout for the link.

Kathleen in recent days has spoken with the Green County Democrats, Walworth County supporters, the Astor Street Regulars in Milwaukee, and gave the keynote address at the St. Croix County/Pierce County Democratic Holiday Party. Tuesday night she was back in Milwaukee talking with activists at a forum sponsored by Working Families Party and Our Wisconsin Revolution.
